Colleen Hawks, Teaching Artist

Colleen Hawks is a Broadway performer (Smoky Joe's Cafe, The Boy from Oz with Hugh Jackman, and Shrek the Musical - available on Netflix and DVD) who has been teaching voice and musical theatre for many years. Other notable credits include the original Off Broadway production of Andrew Lippa’s Wild Party and Anything Goes with Chita Rivera. Her directing and choreography credits include Shrek the Musical, Into the Woods, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Anything Goes, the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, A Chorus Line, West Side Story (setting the original Michael Bennett and Jerome Robbins choreography respectively) and many others. Colleen has done numerous in school residencies both in New York and New Jersey. She enjoys working with youth and young adults, and is especially proud of her voice studio and the extremely talented students she is sending out into the professional world. Colleen teaches Disney Musicals in Schools and is certified in Dancing Classrooms as well as the wonderful work she does with Together in Dance. Colleen is currently the Artistic Director for Pied Piper Children’s Theatre of NYC. www.ColleenHawks.com
